GTA General Contractors completed the full interior construction and fit-out for Angelic Treasures Christian Daycare, located at 337 Queen Street in Newmarket, Ontario. The project involved transforming the space into a safe, functional, and welcoming childcare facility designed to meet Ontario childcare licensing requirements and building code standards.
Our scope included demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, painting, millwork, and full coordination of mechanical and electrical systems. The layout was executed to create well-defined classrooms, play areas, washrooms, and common spaces that support both supervision and efficient daily operations. Each area was thoughtfully designed to promote a structured yet engaging environment for children.
Durability and long-term performance were key priorities throughout the project. We installed commercial-grade flooring suitable for high-traffic use, along with custom millwork and storage solutions to maximize organization within each classroom. Finishes were selected to be both practical and visually clean, creating a bright and professional interior environment.
Lighting was carefully addressed to ensure consistent, well-balanced illumination across all spaces, enhancing visibility and creating an open, inviting atmosphere. Electrical and life safety systems, including fire alarm integration and emergency lighting, were completed in full compliance with applicable codes and inspection requirements.
Washrooms and plumbing systems were designed and installed to align with childcare-specific standards, with a focus on accessibility, hygiene, and ease of use. Every element of the space was constructed with safety and functionality in mind.
