This project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing exterior cladding system at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
Work includes selective demolition of the existing façade, installation of new air/vapour barrier systems, continuous insulation, and new panelized cladding assemblies. The new exterior system is designed to improve overall building envelope performance, including air tightness, moisture control, and thermal efficiency, while addressing wear from the waterfront environment.
Given the active airport setting, the work is phased and coordinated around ongoing operations, with controlled access, off-hour work where required, and full compliance with airport security and safety protocols.
The result is a renewed building envelope that improves performance and extends the service life of the facility without disrupting operations.
